Australia had hit a milestone: many of us had become happy to remain renters for life. So it made sense that Australia’s biggest property site would want to improve the experience of renting – for tenants, landlords and everyone in between.
Enter the ‘The Real Ideas Prize’. An annual mentorship competition offering up $100,000 in prize money to help make three big ideas for the future of rent, real.
Along with devising the overarching concept, we were called upon to design the competition website, build the advertising campaign, coordinate a one-day intensive event (where the finalists could workshop their ideas with a panel of industry heavyweights), write, design and produce a barrage of comms to encourage participation (and then guide participants through the competition), and create content throughout.
Alongside over 300 written concept proposals, some 20,000 people voted on which direction the future of rent should take.
